To many, the AR-15 isn’t just a weapon, but also a symbol of the right to bear arms. It also has become a symbol of the right for gun owners to stalk the prey and shoot it dead at close range, even if it means the death of the hunter as well.
The enthusiasm and self-assuredness of the burgeoning hunter’s movement, which has started to show its strength in recent years, is certainly not a sign that states, especially California, should restrict the use of AR-15s, but it does show, that if there are more and more weapons falling into the hands of the country’s increasingly unhappy citizens, then our gun laws must be adjusted accordingly.
This recent spree shooting in Harris County, Texas, was the latest in the country. The first one happened a few days ago, and the number of confirmed deaths since then passed 150. The shooter killed his wife and four small children, before committing suicide, leaving behind his girlfriend and a boy, aged 10.
The most fascinating part of this whole story has been the amateur collection of social media posts, allegedly by the shooter, which have helped to identify him: “I’m getting ready to shoot up a kindergarten,” and “I’m going in.”
One of his friends has already shared a photo of the shooter with his Facebook friends. “No doubt I’m going to be the first one shot,” they wrote. Later, a friend wrote “Do you think he’s gonna shoot up every Texas school?”
Although the stories we hear about school shooters are always real, the collections of posts look like a typical crop of mind games and “dick pics.” They are also anti-gun messages, which — in the best-case scenario — will certainly make some think. Most of the gun-lovers, on the other hand, will only find a wake-up call.
“I just don’t see how you can defend yourself with a book and a pencil when someone is coming with a high-powered weapon and is not going to hesitate,” one of the mass shootings’s victims, Matthew Murray, explained at a media conference. “We are going to school. We have rights as Americans. We should be able to go to school and be protected.”

All that was not enough for me, though. So I quickly played with the minimum and played with the storage model. The networked and sync-capable local play has a long ways to go, but the core gameplay and all of its structure can all be achieved in isolation. That’s in no way limited to the game’s PC and PS4 official release dates, but directly on Nintendo Switch, too.

There’s a ton of baggage and problems associated with the game, but the core gameplay’s premium sense of immersion and its sturdy characters are unique and able to withstand all the criticism.

He also revealed the reason why he and co-star Rob Riggle are able to joke about anything: „Part of it is because I’m out here and they are too. We don’t have any editors to tell us what to say, so we can just take any subject that’s thrown at us and we take it and we go with it. It’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time.”
Playing such a physical character means Rigg has to endure the odd bobbly-headed moment, but he said he always winds himself up before hitting the physical challenges.
He said: „My best day was the first day and I just had to try and keep from falling over a lot. And it wasn’t really a physical thing. It was all the silly times and the things they make me do, it’s just everything, it’s the whole deal.”
Looking back on his own Discworld book experiences, he said he couldn’t believe they were published, and that it was a great experience working with the writers.
He added: „I was just in shock. I thought it would be a fun quick thing and I’d do it and then go play golf and things like that, but they actually turned it into a real book.”
And he was delighted that they managed to bring characters like Ponder Stibbons and Rincewind to life so well – because he’s always wanted to play them.
