The feature works very well with single layers, however.) The content aware move feature can decrease the size of a large file by up to 5 GB or more. The feature looks for the filmstrip along a straight line within a rectangular area typical of those found in a filmstrip. The tool looks for similar optical filmstrip distortions or effects, and makes a copy of a large file with the distortions or effects corrected. This decreases the need for Photoshop to compress the image. Files with regular filmstrip settings will not benefit as much, just as the Content Aware Move option under “Preferred Settings” is not as effective, but Adobe has other things in mind for the future of CS6. It’s not the only reason for content-aware tool. That’s one of the more prominent ones of the new feature, and a welcome one, nonetheless.
If you notice that you are having a problem uploading many images to Facebook, let me just try to make that clear. This is a problem with the Markup panel in Photoshop CC, and not with Photoshop. As more and more users of this panel upload their images, the file size can easily become so large that it will exceed Facebook’s limit for size, which is 50 MB. In other words, Photoshop CC is not working the way it should be. I’m convinced that Adobe needs to migrate from the Markup panel the work they’ve done in Photoshop 7, and I’m going to try to convince them to do so. We’ve got some API changes that could help with this problem, and we’ve already submitted a bug report with Adobe. In the meantime, until the situation changes and until new features are introduced, try getting your images into Mixpanel.
